Built on place, story, and Michigan history.
Historic homes, lost landmarks, recovery, preservation, and the memories people still carry.
History Loves Company
Historic homes, original series, district stories, and the foundation of everything being built.
HLC Store
Wearable history, physical artifacts, and a way to support the work directly.
Community
Where memories show up first. Photos, comments, and conversations that become part of the archive.
The HLC store is now live—apparel, artifacts, prints, and most importantly a way to support this work.
This has been a five-year run, funded entirely out of my own pocket. Now that there’s a real community here, I’m asking for help carrying the load.
We’re full of ideas. But ideas need support to become real.
If you’ve gotten something from this—consider supporting it. Buy something. Share it. Comment. Get involved. It all matters more than you think.
It’s been a tough week mentally. A lot going on behind the scenes. But my friend Chaz got me straight—new alignment, patched tires, and more than that, just showing up.
That’s what this is about. We take care of each other.
I’ve been thinking a lot about sobriety too—how at the end of the day it’s just putting one foot in front of the other. Head down. Keep going.
And right now, I’d ask for prayers for my family. We’ve got a handful of things we’re working through.
Appreciate you being here.
If you want to be part of building this, the door’s open.
“The line between audience and archive is thinner than people realize.”
