COMMUNITY CHRONICLES
This week, I want to spotlight the people who keep showing up β not just for the videos, but for the cities, neighborhoods, and stories weβre preserving together.
Every time someone sends me a message saying: βThis reminded me of my grandparentsβ house,β or βI grew up down the street from that building,β or βI never knew my city had this much historyβ¦β

β Iβm reminded that this project is so much bigger than me.
Itβs a shared memory bank. A living archive. A community that believes the past deserves to be remembered, not ignored.
So to everyone who commented, shared their story, or reached out this week⦠Thank you. You keep the stories alive.
Sober Strides β The Setback Week
This week wasnβt the one I hoped for β I fractured my 3rd and 4th metatarsals, so running is officially on pause. It sucks, but the mission doesnβt stop.
Right now itβs all about healing smart, staying active where I can, and keeping my head clear. Sobriety doesnβt take days off, and neither does the work.
Setbacks happen. This one just reminds me how much the miles actually mean β and how much stronger Iβll be when Iβm cleared to come back.
Progress isnβt canceledβ¦ itβs just rerouted.
Market Moments β Metro Detroit & Pontiac Snapshot β This Week
Even with the holidays creeping in, the market around Metro Detroit is still very much aliveβjust moving with a little more intention.
π Inventory & Pace
Weβre still in a low-inventory environment across much of Metro Detroit, which means well-priced, move-in ready homes are getting strong attention even as temps drop.
Buyers are taking their time more than they did in the frenzy days, but the serious ones are still out thereβespecially for homes that photograph well and tell a story.
πΈ Prices & Negotiation Room
Prices have cooled off from the peak insanity, but sellers with clean, updated homes in good locations are still commanding solid numbers.
For buyers, this means a bit more negotiating power on terms (concessions, repairs, closing costs) even if the list prices havenβt fallen off a cliff.
π¦ Rates & Strategy
Interest rates have eased slightly from their recent highs, and a lot of lenders are getting creative with rate buydowns and closing cost credits.
Translation: itβs not just about the sticker priceβitβs about the monthly payment and structure. If youβre on the fence, this is a good time to run real numbers instead of guesswork.
ποΈ Historic & Character Homes
Character and historic homes in places like Pontiac, Detroitβs historic districts, and inner-ring suburbs continue to attract buyers who want more than a beige box.
The catch? Condition matters more than ever. The homes that blend original charm with thoughtful updates are the ones winning.
